This is an updated version of the A7V8X-MX which was manufactured for Compaq and re-labeled as the A7V8X-LA.   It does have a different Southbridge (VT8237 vs the older VT8235CE).

This page shows the specifications with photos and layout diagrams:

... but does not have a manual available.

The A7V8X-MX manual should be very similar and may be a useful reference.  You can get it by doing the following:
(a)  Go to www.asus.com
(b)  Click on North America
(c)  Click on Download
(d)  Click on Download Product BIOS, Drivers, User Manuals and Utilities here.
(e)  Enter A7V8X in the box at the upper left labeled "Input Model to Search"
(f)  Click on A7V8X-MX
(g)  Click on Manual
(h)  Scroll down to the User Manual in English and download it (2.21 MBytes)

I look at A7V8X-MX; it has dip switches for CPU frequency. Dos not have 12V connector, some SATA1 and SATA2  connectors, CLPWD and CLRTC jumpers.  Is the manual for A7V8X-LA really unreachable?

"... Is the manual for A7V8X-LA really unreachable? ..." ==>  Since Asus custom-made the board for Compaq, they don't have the manual on their site.   Compaq does not publish manuals at the motherboard level for their systems;  they MAY sell you one if you ask; but I'm not optimistic about that.
