Why is Suitcase 10 / OS 10.2.8: Quitting Before I can Create Font Folders?

I've been so busy with work the last 12 months, I haven't moved into OS 10 yet. I was forced to today as the client files I received used InDesign. I went to open some fonts in Suitcase and the icon displayed in the bar, but when I went to access a pulldown menu, the color ball kept spinning and spinning and after about 30 seconds, the application quit.

Very frustrating! I have the Adobe Creative Suite and Quark 6.1 -- my main applications are: Photoshop, Quark and Illustrator.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Quit Suitcase and try to find a folder of Suitcase databases. It should be in users/username/library/preferences but could be users/username/library/suitcase. The folder will have six or seven files. Delete those file and launch Suitcase again. All the files will be recreated when Suitcase is launched. This may eliminate your problem.
