How can I increase the speed and performance of Sage Line 50 Accounts software across a network?

I recently upgraded a network, installed a new PC to act as a server, and setup a router+switch.

There are also 3 PCs via cat5, and 1 Laptop via wireless.

The new server, which is a brand new, very quick system.

Recently I transfered sage from one of the machines to the new server and upgraded the software on each machine from Sage Line 50 v7 to v11.

It all appears to be functioning correctly, and the network speed seems fine.

However, when a lookup of stock, an invoice, reports etc are done in Sage, it appears to take a long time, a lot longer than when it was on the other machine (even though this was a very old machine).

What could be causing it to be so slow?
What can be done to speed it up?


I believe the solution lies within the software, not the hardware, please avoid advise of hardware as this is not a solution.

Never mind, I found out that I needed to upgrade v11 to SP2 and this fixed the lookup issue.
