Ok..i've got NAT working on the firewall to goto the private IP address of the godaddy dedicated windows server.  I've setup a new domain name using plesk.  I've added the ns entry to godaddy's control panel but here is my question.  The domain is still not resolving. I"ve modified plesk under server settings and pointed it to my firewall.  My question is do i need to modify the dns zone file created by plesk for the particular domain to point to the public IP address instead of the 10.0.0.1? I've tried several variations including making the a record in the zone file point to the public address.  What steps do i need to take using a godaddy dedicated server running plesk 7.5 and a cisco pix 501 firewall to get it to resolve so i can see the website?  PLease advise.

Thanks,

Shea

Please clarify your network connectivity. From the pc you are working on to the dedicated server. For example, from your pc, to the internet, to the pix firewall, to the dedicated server. It sounds like the PIX is acting as a NAT to a private network that the dedicated server running the page is on. Therefore, if you are trying to connect to the dedicated server you will need to map port 80 to the private address of the dedicated server and the DNS entry should be for the public address of the PIX firewall.

thanks i got it already though.  My local dns zone file A records needed to be pointed to the public address instead of the private.
