I have a Linksys wireless adapter connected to a laptop and I also use a cable when its close by.
Whenever I need the wireless I have to go into the "Linksys Monitor > Site Survey ckick on Refresh then Connect " to get on the internet.  I disabled then "LAN" connection in the control panel and just have the wireless enabled but I still have to go thru the steps..I just want to connect with out doing anything.  Any ideas?

try not running with the linksys software.......

make sure the windows zero configuration service is running and then go into my network places and see if you can find the wireless network using windows.......if yes, then you can set to auto connect under the properties of the connection
