Multiple Blogs on Joomla or Drupal

Hi there.  I would like to know if either Joomla or Drupal can handle the task of creating mutliple blogs, in much the same way as MySpace.  Or is there a better alternative?  Ease of use in terms of administration is primary, but also the ability to use basic php/MySQL knowledge to amend page content would also be great, as we would like to integrate it into the pages we already have, whch are written in php/MySQL.  Any thoughts appreciated!

for joomla, if you want to mimic a community like website, you would be looking to install the Community Builder plug-in (from the extensions section at joomla.org).. Drupal is more than likely to be able to do this as well, but I haven't had much experience with Drupal to find out which extension to install for that. Both CMS's are easy to administer, Joomla being a bit faster to learn, but Drupal is more powerful when all features are learnt. Both are easy to amend php/MySQL.
