My group policy settings are centrally controlled and yet I need to give a Quicktime presentation that is of a longer duration that my screensaver logout time.  Is there a software application or program that will run in the background and maintain activity with my hard drive to prevent the screensaver from activating?

I think you'll need to work with the domain admin on this one.  It was discussed not too long ago here: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/WinXP/Q_21879696.html

Glad you sent me that link. I looked for the last five hours and couldn't find that one.  I'm in shock that no one has an easy shareware program to circumvent the screensaver while giving a presentation. I can't work with the domain admin of a company of 100,000 people even though I know who it is. Isn't there some key stroke or program or game or something that can run in the background?

Found it!  Took 5.5 hours, but I did it.  The software is called Caffeine.exe by Zhorn Software.  Thanks again for your quick link to the previous post that I missed.

Glad I could help - I only found it because it was one that I had commented in.  I, in the meantime, will be checking out your caffeine.exe app.

Also, some people have mentioned running a ping -t [ipaddress] from a command prompt in the background.  The -t provides a continuous ping until you stop it.  I've never done it, and don't know if that would work.
