Smartphone - Windows Mobile 5.0 - Global Address Book - GAL

We are starting to use the new Moto Q phones from Verizon and we have unlimited data on all the phones.  They are used mainly to access email, and alot of our VIP need to be able to access the Global Address List from the device.

I have downloaded this utility.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/downloads/global/smartphone.mspx

It installed OK, and I have it able to open, but I can not get it to access the server for data no matter what I try.  I have tried with or without forms authentication, I have tried with http:// infront of the server, or https:// and without either of those two as well.  I have tried with ISA turned on and without.  We are syncing just fine with or without SSL.  Out OWA server sits behind a firewall and port 80 and port 443 are forwarded to the server.  It is a frontend server to an exchange 2003 backend server.  No matter what I try, I always get a message telling me it can not contact the server.

Can anyone help with this?

Also just out of curiosity, has anyone been able to setup access to multiple calendars or access other people contacts?

Thanks,
Daniel Wier

Yes, you can use that, but there are ways to do it without paying for software.  I am trying to find someone who can help with the plugin offered from microsoft.  A solution for free instead of buying the Goodlink software.

Thanks,

Sorry i meant

Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP).

Its sort of a Service Pack but your provider has to release it. Call verizon and see when they are gonna release it.

Verizon is offering a product called ePIM
http://www.vzwshop.com/epim/

Any word on that, or do you still have to have the MSFP for it to work.  If you do, why do they show the MotoQ in the picture for the ePIM software.

Any other ideas on how to make this work?

I am getting the run around from everyone.  I will post up here when I hear back.   Anyone else have any more suggestions?  You are right Mikal613, once you install the MSFP it makes life really easy.
