I know how to extract a boot sector, what I want to know is if there is a way to extract the actual boot files; autoexec.bat config.sys etc from a previously burned bootable cd.

Hello  erikcook!

<autoexec.bat config.sys>
Bootable CDs don't use a config.sys OR autoexec.bat

When you create a bootable cd in almost any burning app, you have the option of making it bootable by use of a floppy boot disk.. I want to be able to extract or recreate the files used to make the CD bootable.
