Hi,

I'm new to Rave Reports thought I'd try it after using Quick Reports. I'm using Delphi 7.
I'm trying to write a report which I can design in landscape and will also default to landscape orientation when printing.
Have troubles doing this in Rave. Any ideas?

Also I need to place a parameter in my user defined query for the report.

i.e select * from customers where code = :custcode

How is this done in Rave?
I need to assign the parameter from the Delphi application.

Cheers
Nathan

PS Please don't point me to the tutorials on Borland or DelphiAbout.com I've read them and while they are good they don't address my specific issues.

Set to landscape:
1. Open report.
2. Select Page component
3. Set page componets orientation property to poLandScape

I prefer not to send any sql queries to rave. Instead I add TRvDataSetConnection to my form then link it to my dataset by its dataset property.
Then from rave designer I add DirectDataView component to project.

Steps
1. Add TRvDataSetConnection to your form and name it to MyRaveConnection
2. Link it to your dataset.
3. Open your dataset.
4. Goto rave designer and click "New data object" button
5. Select DirectDataView
5. Select MyRaveConnection from list and click ok.

Btw. Have you checked Nevrona rave tips http://www.nevrona.com/Default.aspx?tabid=53
