Problem accessing CF server via RDS
The problem is that I cannot access my CF server via RDS.
***SPECS***
CF HOST:
ColdFusion MX 7
Build 7,0,0,91690
RDS enabled, password established
Dell Dimension 8250 running XP Pro desktop w/ built-in XP firewall
IIS 5.0 - I access all my applications by going to http://MyHomeIPAddress/AppName
LOCAL MACHINE:
IBM Thinkpad running XP Pro
Dreamweaver MX 2004
***DETAILS***
On my Thinkpad, this is what I have in my "Configure RDS Server" dialog from the Remote Info page of the Site Definition for Memoria (the application I am trying to build):
Host name: http://myHomeIPAddress/Memoria
Port: 80
Full Host Directory: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\Memoria
Username: Blank (there was no option that I saw in the CFAdmin for setting a username - just a password)
Password: My password
Whenever I try to connect, I get a message saying "Unable to resolve host. The URL appears to be invalid." I have no clue what could be causing this problem. If it's any help to know it, I have other test apps running on this CF Host, and they all work fine.

Don't use much RDS, but try just entering your home IP address in for the Host name, and not the entire URL.

Just tried that, but it had no effect. I'm thinking the problem might have something to do with the RDS username, or lack thereof. Either that or it's probably something really small and stupid that needs to be changed. But is it a change that needs to be made on the client end or the server end? Dammit.

Okay, I just doubled the points on this one to help incentivize some of you experts. Please help!

Is there more to this issue than I initially thought - should I raise the points more?

Should I give up on this, or perhaps try to start another thread?

Hey, got it to work! I just omitted "http://" from the Host Name field in the RDS dialog box.
