Hi,
I am trying to connect to an oracle 9.2.0 database through a javascript. It is not through a webpage however, it is through a vendors application that accepts javascript. We have tried some of the server.createobject drivermanager.getconnection and various other variations, but we dont have access to the serverobject in our script.

If anyone can help that wold be great.

The software we are using to do this in is Mercury Quality Center Dashboard.....Cheers.

hi doyle007,
I dont think there is any way connect to your server from a javascript.  You have to use server side scripting language which can connect to your database.
Javascript can be used for client side validation and may be for submitting a html form to a asp/jsp page which will connect to the database.

you can use server-side scripting language, like JSP ,ASP, PHP, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, etc.
