hi everyone,

is there away to shadow a terminal session of a user without them knowing its being done?  right now, we have capability to shadow but it asks the user if its ok... we want to monitor a few clients without their knowledge for obvious reasons.

thanks

In the user properties you can change the default which asks the user for permission to not require permissions, but I'd personally not want to monitor a client without permission for the obvious legal reasons and don't recommend that anyone else do so.  Also, their screen may flicker and performance may degrade when you shadow.

where exacltly is this option? in active directory users and computers, properties of the user under there?

reason why this clients wants to do this is to see if their worker(s) are doing anything illegal, i dont know how legal or not it is to the user but this manager wanted this to be done so she can monitor anyone she suspects is doing something wrong then she can take action.

does this require the user to log off/on for it to take place?

I do not believe so, but it might be good to be safe.
