I've a GridView with Update and Cancel buttons displayed in edit mode. When i click on Update, i need to perform validations before sending the data for update. Can i do client side validations for entire row? If yes how?

Thanks

just use a  field template and add the validator you want
you have to do the same for every field you want to validate since you can validate a complete row with one control
take a look at this walkthrough
