As I'm starting to see the flaws in the two games I loved to play for the past 3-5 years (Ragnarok Online and World of Warcraft Online 'w.ow.'), I'm curious what good MMORPG games there are?

I'm familar with the sites: http://www.mmorpg.com/index.cfm?bhcp=1; and: http://www.onrpg.com/.  There's just so much information, that it's difficult for mee to see the difference between the games.  I'd appriceate some suggestions for a good, preferably free, online game(s)?

-Thanks

currently to date i have played

WOW - 4 lvl 60 fully tier 2 epics
Ofc a game that has ltos of potential,. but is vastley based on community . and the guild you are in. With  buirning crusade coming - 60-70 and the PVP patch adding world pvp is certainly viable game. imo if u have this game play another for 3 months and come back.

DAOC - 5 lvl 50's
Awesome game i loved this but the community is very tight and getting somoewhere in teh game is a no no really now its just to elite. the PVP is the best in any game ive ever played with trebucets and climbing walls in to towers and killing the king. awesome PVP

City of heroes 2maxed char
city of villans
OMg these games are basicalyl fun... its a bit of a gridn fest tbh , but superheoes and villans with capes flighing around . communtiy isnt as young as ud think either alot of classic cartoon junkies. SOoo much fun.
pvp getting better but a bit shody. (its a good game to play for a couple of months)

Acheons call 1 and 2
Pants.. and no longer aviable server's

Ultima online 7 maxed
Very good game but dated. there are many expansions for this game to rejig it back to life. i dont recommmend

Starwars glaxies 1 maxed
Well starwars. hmmmm i enjoyed it. Quit came back and quit again. pvp is poo grinding is poo and the lvling is poo. but... it is starwars so u get the felaling of how cool it could be. and hold on to that hope. then u realise it aint any good and complain at sony for being idiots.
avoid

Horizons halfway thought
avoid./ good game good prosects , servers dying with the game

Guildwars 1 maxed to 20
Awesom FREE MMO/ buy game job done/ pay for explansinos  but NO MONTHLEY COSTS deffinatly worth £20 i recommend this jsut becasue its FREE MONTHLY.

Linage 1 and 2 1 maxed
Cult following. (can be played on free servers) not thatt good intresting PVP options. much like DAOC and WOW. very pretty. imo avoid.

Final fantasy 1 to 20
Avoid . Boring and not as fun as the orignal games. got bored very fast and the community is tight. hard to get into.

Everquest 2(dident play 1. did daoc)
Hmmm welll i got this game at same time as WOW> and i paly it prolly once a week. i like the lving and the combo herioc parts. very friendaly community but generally to VAST if u dont have time. its a bit overwhelming once u get outta the noob area. imo unless u got ALOT o time AVOID. if u do and u want a change

go for it

DDO
HA omg did i wate for this game. unfortunaly only to be hit with a tear in my eye
ITs a grp based MMO u CANT SOLO. even tho tehy added solo content. tis just...hmmmm not good. if u got 4 m8 to play wiht u will love it. but community is tight.
imo avoid.

ill post about upcoming MMO's and beta's im on if u wish...

<--- mm o addict
some korean ones cant prenonuce some of the names

What about Project Entropia? You can earn real money in it.  Its incredibly huge and there is a huge community following it.

I see you already play WOW, which I do too. I second the nomination for City of Heroes / City of Villains. You don't loot (the stuff you do get goes to your inventory automatically) or have to build skills, so it's great for when you just want to beat up bad (or good) guys. Character creation is amazing, you have sooooo many choices. I started playing this when it was just City of Heroes, before City of Villains came out, but have several maxed heroes. They recently upped the max level for villains and I haven't moved my "previously" maxed villain up yet. And of course scores of other hero and villain alts. You can solo or work in groups.

with Project Entropia im not a fan of the real life money thing. people think they gonna be able to play agames and not work :).  they ok but u often need the ability to be able to code. or have NO LIFE to be able to keep up. again its FREE but.. it aaint realy coz eveything degrades and u have to pay maintanece on items and thats with ingame money , which u have to pay for.

so it can get quite expensive. i know people in these games who have spent ALOT of cash.
