yeah, this is my first tie picking up flash in 2 years and alot has changed, but im sure that some things should still be the same.  ANyway here is my question

I am trying to path to a flag / a frame in a particular movie clip for a gotoAndPlay but for some reason I cant get it to work.

Id like to get from inside of one MC and get to somewhere around _root.mc1.frame 2  (these arent real instance names)   but I cant get it to work.  I feel really stupid, can you guys help me out?  I tried putting a flag on the frame and i still cant figure it out.

I just wanna path to a MC and play the second frame skipping the first one.  That is all.

Here is my FLA

can't open your .fla .. still happy with MX2004 :)

try..

_root.mc1.gotoAndStop(2);

or

_root.mc1.gotoAndStop("label_name");
