Hi,

I have a question.

If you are assigned the IP address 172.16.1.1, what full class subnet mask is most likely the correct one to use?
a. 255.0.0
b. 255.255.0.0
c. 255.255.255.0

The default mask depends on the first octect, in your case, it is 172 which is for Class Be. 255.255.0.0 (the range for class B is 128-191). Have a look at the following article for more information.
