osCommerce & MS SQL?

Hello Friends,

I'm evaluating osCommerce and wondering if it integrates with MS SQL?
It comes with MySQL, but we have already developed a content management system that uses an MS SQL database and we would definitely need to use that data with osCommerce.

We'd also want to make some extensive modifications to the osCommerce website, so that it ties in not only to our content database, but also to our MS SQL database containing periodically updated accounting data (AR, sales, inventory,...).

Does this sound possible with osCommerce?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have heard of people doing this before.
From what I remember, there are two or three features of MySQL that have to be written using MSSQL sub-procedures, you have to change the script that creates the DB and tables, and the rest is just changing the connection strings and how the wording of some queries.
But it takes some time to do and properly test all of these.
Anyway, it's possible and it's not difficult programming. It just requires attention, testing and time :).
