Hi all.

One of our staff is going on vacation.  She wants a vacation message to appear as well as have her mail forwarded to another staff member.

She set the away message using her OWA.  I then added the forward in the active directory MMC.  It forwards to the correct person, however no  "I am away on vacation" message appears.  She wants both.  Please advise.

Thanks.

Hi,

Set the forward under AD so that the mail is delivered to both locations via the Delivery Options > "Deliver messages to bot hforwarding address and mailbox" check box. Checking this box should do it. Without it the mail is not actually processed by her mailbox therefore the out of office message would not get sent.

Ah, I missed the check box in the AD MMC.  Thanks.
