Hi,
I can't seem to be able to uncheck the read-only attribute. It keeps returning to the checked state. This is even when under Security>Advanced>Permission, the "Inherit from parent... " setting has been unchecked.

I am on XP SP2. Please help!!!

The "read-only" checkbox for folders does not cause any impact.

See:

You Cannot View or Change the Read-Only or System Attribute of Folders:

i read that the read-only status is causing the following error:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]General error Unable to open registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0x9d0 Thread 0xc00 DBC 0x1254254 Jet'.
