DHCP And Active Directory

I demoted a DC  which is running an  DHCP server.  I am still using the DHCP server. Now I am recieving after two months the DHCP server needs tobe authorized in active directory which was removed on demotion. Is there a solution to this?

Hmm, so what happens when you bring up the dhcp mmc applet?  Does it open and if so when you right click on the dhcp server such as dhcp.mydomain.com can you select "authorize" from the context menu?

Can you just not re authorize the dhcp server using the dhcp applet?

I am getting a error saying it must be autorized in Active Directory!
AD has been removed.

I am able to authorize it now.
