Global Contact Detail Maintenance using Outlook's Global Address Book

Hi Experts,

We are using Exchange server 2003, and I need some kind of solution to upgrade user’s personal information (Address, telephone, etc) by themselves (By using MS-Out Look) instead of changing them in the Active Directory server.

Please advice.

Thanks !

Take a look at the community edition of rDirectory: http://www.namescape.com/
I have that on a number of sites and it works very well.

No, actually I need to change Exchange server global contact details. Say, if the domain containing couple of hundreds of users. Changing them manually on the server will be taking more time. I need to allow changing them by the users respectively.

That is what that tool does.
It provides a web frontend for the users to update their own information.

Simplify Active Directory Administration

Administration of Active Directory does not have to be hard.  Too often what should be a simple task is made more difficult than it needs to be.The solution?  Hyena from SystemTools Software.  With ease-of-use as well as powerful importing and bulk updating capabilities.

Ohh thanks, its not free I believe.

But I was looking for an option from a MS-Out Look or from the exchange server itself.

The community edition is free up to a certain number of users.
There is no mechanism within Outlook to allow users to update their own information.

There was an old tool called "Galmod" which was part of the Exchange 5.5 reskit, but I don't think it will work correctly with the latest versions of Outlook/Exchange. It is no longer available from Microsoft, you might find an old copy on the Internet somewhere.
