Hi,

Can Visual Studio 2003/5 Setup Projects be used to Deploy VB 6 applications?

If yes can anyone point me at some tutorials please!? If no, can anyone recommend another way of creating Windows Installer installations for VB 6 applications.

Regards,
Danny

Well, I guess you *could* do that...  A Visual Studio Setup project will allow you to add any file (to include a VB6 application), but you'd have to do all of the work... you'd have to determine the dependancies and place all of the dependent files in the Setup project "by hand".

What's wrong with the good-ole "Package and Deployment Wizard" in VB6?

BTW:  The Visual Studio 2005 Expression Edition does not support the Setup project type.

The reason I wanted to use VS2005 was to create a proper MSI installer that could be deployed using Group Policy
