SBS Remote Connection Disk Setup Problem

Greetings all,

I'm using the SBS wizard to make a Remote Connection Disk.  But when I try to run the disk setup prgram it says, 'Extracting file failed.  It is most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file.'

I've tried this on several client computers.  Same result.  I've tried connecting to the server over the web and downloading the file.  Same result.

MS Techweb is completely unfhelpful.  What could be the problem?  More pertinently, what's the fix?

I don't see any kind of low disk space or low memory problem.  How would I fix a corrupted cabinet file?

Lost at sea,

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.

Hi vico1,

Well, I got this problem solved.  I Googled 'sbsserver.exe' and found some discussion threads that addressed this very issue.  Core issue was misdated files on the Small Biz Server.  Extracted originals from distribution disks.  Booted in Safe Mode.  Copied them to appropriate directory.  And it works!  Thank goodness.

Many thanks for responding to my distress signal.
