Hi ,

     I want to know is there any utility in linux which has the same function as TOP utility?

I just want to know, is there any other utility available similar to top.

vmstat - reports on the virtual memory statistics. It does not give the cpu usage at process   level.

sar - It reports the overall cpu usage.

I'm looking for  something similar to top which can provide the cpu usage for each process.

Well, old good ps has pcpu format descriptor - use it
ps o stat,tty,pid,pcpu,comm

You are aware, that qps is in fact top. Just in cute QT graphical window...
