Hi Experts,

This is something new for me to convert unstructured FrameMaker
documents to structured XML documents using DITA.

Can anyone provide me some examples or references to do this task?
What I supposed to do for the same?

Thanks,
Shailesh

Hi ShaileshShinde,

There are various ways to tackle this
conversion of "legacy" information, be it in MS Word, FrameMaker or other formats
is most of the time a real pain,
and it will almost always require some manual interaction

If you have some code hackers at hand, you could safe the files as MIF (Maker Internal Format, I believe)
That is a bit like RTF for Word
From there with a bunch of good will and regular expressions you can get quite a bit out of it.
I have been there a number of times... maybe I can assist in the process (find my email in my profile)

If you need a really professional service,
you might want to have a look at these people

Hi Expert,

Thanks for the information.

Can you also provide some information on "conversion table" in framemaker?

Thanks,
Shailesh
