asked on

viewer for logictech quickcam sts

I have a camera set up in my cubicle that I use to warn me of others approach from the rear and am using the software that came with the camera to accomplish this.  I would like to find some software (preferably free) to use as the viewer that would run in a small adjustable window.

You could just go into the webcam settings inside Microsoft messenger it will show you the picture in the webcam (Tools -> webcam settings)
Here is a pretty nice software (Although not free) to view webcams with motion detection and lots of features if you prefer

How about Hidden Camera Control( http://www.download.com/Hidden-Camera-Control/3000-2348_4-10117256.html )

Its free to download and use.  Its motion and sound sensitive.

So far I like the yaw cam, although there is an unneeded window in addition to the preview window, which clutters my desktop.  The Hidden Camera software writes to a file, but I need an active screen; at least that's what the write-up says.  I will try the others when I get a chance.
