Hi,

We are in need of a utility that will give each of our 300 domain users a new random password in active directory and then output all the new passwords (with ref to their relevant accounts) to say a csv file so we can inform the users when they come in the following day.

Can anyone help me with this

thanks

Someone else may be able to do this in AD; I can't think of how off the top of my head. I guess a random character string app that can be founds somewhere on the web.

But I was able to use Excel to generate single random characters and numbers; then append the alphanumerics to a specific cell.  From I suppose you can create a string with DSMOD USER with all of the relevent user information.  You can use this to create a batch file that can be executed against your AD.

Just found this.  Here are the specifics of DSMOD USER that you can use.
