i think its best not to mess with the warranty. but if you still want something unique, you can try to look for laser etchings, or stick on stickers (get them custom made from car accessory shops). you can also go for air-brushings.<br />

the reason for not messing with the warranty, is that in my opinion, apple will have a messy problem with the heating and discoloring problem, and you won't want to be denied of the warranty exchange/upgrade if you 'mess-up' ur mac too much.
