Tech support finally got back to me, turns out my password was expired. &nbsp;I find this odd since it was assigned yesterday. &nbsp;I'm connected now, thank you for the response.

I am working with DB2 for the first time and I'm having trouble adding a database. &nbsp;I am trying to connect to a mainframe through the Client Configuration Assistant but after entering all of the settings, I get the following message:<br />

The add database operation failed.<br />
<br />
SQL1096N &nbsp;The command is not valid for this node type.<br />

I am not finding a lot of documentation on this and the settings I have entered appear to work for other people using the application. &nbsp;<br />
