Disable showing of Application Errors on desktop

Hi,

Is there a way of disabling windows from showing application errors on the desktop?

My reason for asking this question is that every time I shut down, Restart this brand new Acer PC running Windows XP Pro, I get the following error: -

MPSERVIC.EXE - Application Error
The instruction at 0x0012e824 referenced memory at 000... the memory could not be written.

I have spent days trying to stop the error from occuring, by unintalling / re-installing the Canon Multipass 4 sw for my MPC600F and installing patches etc., but it is still happening.

The error is not actually causing me a problem, as it only seems to happen when I restart the machine and it disapears after 20 seconds, but I dont want to see the message.

(I'm talking as if this is my PC, but it's not, it's one of my customers PC's who is very 'finiki'? about these sort of things.

Please help

Martin

Click Start, right-click 'My Computer' then click Properties. In the resulting window click on the 'Advanced' tab...you'll see a button named 'Error Reporting'. Click this, select disable error reporting then OK.

You may, if you desire, leave error reporting on and exclude MPSERVIC.EXE from reporting.
