I run my Pega application on Tomcat5.0.28 server. I have an installation of JSDK1.4_2_05. The tomcat was running fine till 11th of July, but seems some files got corrupted . I re insatlled the JDK and got the Tools.jar file. Now when I am running the Cataline run on the command prompt I am getting these exception listed -

java.lang. ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina
at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.loadClass<StandardClassLoader.java:854>
at org.apache.catalina.loader.StandardClassLoader.loadClass<StandardClassLoader.java:721>

at org.apache.cataline.startup.Bootstrap.init(Bootstrap.java:205)
at org.apache.cataline.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java:402)

Please suggest what needs to be done. I need to run my application as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Jaya

How do you do startup of your tomcat server ?
is it running on windows or UNIX ?
did you set correctly JAVA_HOME and CATALINA_HOME variables ?
Then you do catalina run it printouts variables that are used in console (it is on my console):
Using CATALINA_BASE:   C:\apache.prj\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9
Using CATALINA_HOME:   C:\apache.prj\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9
Using CATALINA_TMPDIR: C:\apache.prj\jakarta-tomcat-5.5.9\temp
Using JAVA_HOME:       c:\jdk1.5.0

What is on your console ?
