xp pro  reboots itself

I have installed two new dvd\cd rw drivers.plus graphic card.OS XP Pro.sees the new additions but does not find the drivers,,so consistantly system reboots itsel,error message @ UNKNOWN DRIVER DEVICE " the DVd\Cd writers are a pioneer 110,plus the combi cd\dvd writer.looked for driver downloads cannot find.plus I believe the graphic to be a NVidia card.how cani sort this,

What you need are the motherboard IDE controller drivers and if this is onboard video, the motherboard driver for that.  Post which motherboard model you have - you can see it in the POST screen near the bottom or open up the box and look for white lettering on the edge of the motherboard.  If the video card is not onboard, look on www.nvidia.com for XP drivers for that card.

I have installed a new Nvidia Viper550 .been to the Nvidia site to look for the driver,but am thrown.by the definitions.I tried a fewdrivers from the site but arenot what i want,This graphic card is added to the existing set up.where can i get a Nvidia Viper 550 Graphic card driver if not from www.Nvidia.com

Ok, so your question is strictly about a video card, not a CDROM drive.  The Viper550 is a Riva TNT card, so look here for the latest XP Forceware driver: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_91.31.html
