I have a flash file that contains multiple frames of text, fading in and out. One frame contains a line of text, that fades in (the text fades in, that is), after a certain amount of time it fades out to another frame and so on. Now, I've to make one of these text lines dynamic, that is, they've to be read from the database. I've managed to do that with some PHP, and the "_root.url" parameter, passed straight into the HTML, where I've to embed the flash file. I've used "url" as my query string.

The real problem I'm having, is to make this text-field fade in, stay on the screen a while, and then fade out again. I've made this text field into a dynamic text field, and I've been able to get it to fade to some extent. But, its not fluent, and the text does'nt fade properly.

An example of the flash file in action:

I need this urgently, and an actionscript code to fade this text in and out would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It clearly seems that you have not embedded it properly on each keyframe....
cross check and confirm that you have embedded fonts on each of the keyframe.
