Hi trying to sync between my laptop and my workstion - both pc's has bleutooth installed. But im recieving an error saying "error when trying to synchonize - irMC server error"

Now this happens either way - it doen't matter if i try sync from the laptop or reverse - same error comes up...

The stationary pc has a bluetooth dongle from Logitech which is bundled in the Logitech® diNovo™ Media Desktop™ Laser product package.  See link:

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/DK/EN,CRID=2158,CONTENTID=10777

The laptop has a "removeble bluetooth dongle" (all is right) from Sandberg, see link:

http://www.sandberg.it/worldwide/prod.asp?prod=133-34

Both pc's are running Windows XP SP2 fully patched - Latop is a Acer aspire 5000 series  with 1 DRR GB ram and the workstaion is a costum build with a Asus P4P4800 deluxe motherboard P4 3.2 ghz 2 gb DRR ram and so on..

Both Pc's are running Mircosoft Office 2003 with SP2 and fully patched.

Well there should not be any problem with syncronizing between theese to units, right? - But there is...
I hope you guys can help me with this one, becaouse im a noob on bluetooth!

Thanks whatisthesolution

I think you will have to check the utility you are using for synching. usually there is some kind of configuration tool for them where you select what synchronizes to what. Of course it is also possible that your app doesn't have these functions and you might need to aquire a full version.

Yup done that.. got the t-shirt! :-)

'I have config both machine's bluetooth - right click on the bluetooth icon(in the processline) and choosing advanced config ---> choosing it to sync MS outlook 2003 with the calenders, emails, contacts, v-card and on - on both laptop and stationary pc.

But it onlyt sync the  contacts..  Does this has something to do with that the outlook folder structure must be exaclty same in both pcs? - If it is so, then it doesn't make any sense, since in my mind of thinking thats what syncing is for right?

So what could i do to fix this?

Normally when you configure the software, you have to manualy select what goes to which folder inside outlook. For certain objects like calenders you often also have to select the the data ranges to synchronize.

Maybe you should also check on the software manufacturer's homepage, there might be some info there, or try their support.
