I have generated SSL certificate but i am not sure about the config

did you download the client:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=21558&package_id=15149

if you are using different client it may not work if that client doesn't support the sftp

hope this helps!

Try logging into the ftp from the machine the server is installed on and see if you get the same error. You shouldn't need SSL for logon to FTP servers. Error 530 generally means the authentication failed with the username and password you supplied. It tells you SSL required because it looks for another way to login and you don't have a login cert.

Don't generate the SSL, it's just more trouble if you don't know what you are doing.

Double check yur username and password again or create a new one and make sure your CAPS lock is not on.

bbrunning i have disabled the SSL/TLS support, now it looks it is accepting the username and password, but getting "could not get the home directory" i could find any option to create the home directory on the FileZilla application

On the main menu bar i can see two menu options marked with  /C/  and C:\ but i am not sure what is it? how to setup the home dir?

To add a directory you have to add a custom user, which I'd imagine you have already done. Then click on the icon at the top bar that has a picture of a persons head. In there click shared folders, then click add. Add the directory of your choice, then you can click add under users and associate a user with that account.
