I am having a small issue with Sharepoint portal server 2003. When some users are trying to "Checkout" a document from the document library I am getting an error of "Web Server is Busy." I noticed that the SQL partition of the server is almost full. Could this possibly be a reason for the error? Thanks for your time my fellow IT personnel. This has been a problem for about 3 days. I know it isn't a permissions issue as the documents can be read and all other parts of the server is accessible. Again thanks for your time.

Hi.

I am dealing with SP2003 at work but I didn't run into this. It might be the small amount of disk space. I had some issues with the webparts. The disk got full with iis logs and the webparts weren't loading corectly.

Try getting some more space on the db partition and see if the situation still persists.

good luck,
mircea.

Thanks that was pretty much the problem. We ended up getting more HD space for the RAID and more RAM. Sometimes servers can be picky. Thanks again.
