Nomad Creative zen xtra MP3 Player won't install.
Bought this one second hand recently, installed the software as per manual but my computer (xp professional) but the computer just does not recognize the player: In device manager it says Nomad Jukebox Xtra with the big yellow question mark.
Inserted the cd, and tried to search for drivers no luck - whatever I try to install the driver - it keep saying cannot install driver.
Tried on my friends computer and it worked - seems that it uses C:\WINDOWS\System32\Driver
Any ideas?
I am out of any ideas and pulling my hair out - hence 500 points!

Sorry for delay...
I don't think a reinstall would help, my copy of Windows XP is only a few weeks old...
In the meantime I got it so far that my computer recognizes the player as a Windows Portable device - I had to upgrade to Windows Media Plaer 10.
So can now drag-and-drop files. However cannot connect still with the player using the Creative Software (Nomad Organiser). Suppose I ve got better chances to find the answer on a specific forum.

yep - tried that one - No luck.
maybe a bad player; try to test it on another PC to be sure

For all who run inot the same problems: it appeared that the software installed on the Zen Creative only works with if your computer has Windows Media Player 10 installed. Thanks for those who took the efort to reply.
