vmware virtual machines to storage

I am running a Dell Blade Chassis and one server is a Win2k3e running VMWare server. This server has 4 broadcom nics with
software capable of teaming adapters for load balancing and redundancy. Two NICs will go to networking and two NICs will go to a separate
network for ISCSI storage. Finally my question:

Should I use the teaming software in the host to create teamed adapters and hope the teamed adapters are virtualized in the VM hosts

Or

Should I leave the NICs alone and team them inside the VM hosts using some other software.

I am looking for a combination of logic and experience in the answer.

You should team them within the win2k3e host, as only the host has direct access to the hardware. NICs and all other hardware accessed through a VM is done through "dummy" drivers which pass their info through to the hosting OS which has all the correct hardware info through it's drivers.
