veritas catalog Backup Fail status error 11 (system call Fail)

Hi,
After i perform backup and i will continue automatic catalog backup, the drive was down on master server side(window 2003 server). , I also check the sync file is ok ..read only and not corrupt.  It was two drive IBM-ULTIRIUM TD-20 and 21.

when load of media 0015L2 is failed at drive IBM-ULTIRIUM TD-20 Is display down. After I perform it manual backup and it was fine.

Also, Is my drive problem .... and also i perform clean the drive.

Don't think there's a problem with your hardware, looks like the rogue process had control of the library. Stop and start the services should fix it.

what is mean of rogue process had control of the library.....what services i should stop and start ...the veritas or The Adic Tape library .............

If i configure the catalog backup as first choice (media 1-as removeable media(Tape) , media 2-as (DISK) . If my catalog backup Fail on Tape, can the catalog backup  automatically switch into Disk.
