I have a Unix server (i don't administer) which has Samba shares that Windows Workstations access. I need to copy all the data from one share to my Windows 2003 Server every night. I would like to run a script or a software from my Windows 2003 server which will do this and give me a log.

Any ideas

Use Robocopy with the /V option.  Robocopy comes with the Resource

Do an robocopy /? for command line options.

You could also do an: Xcopy sourcefile destination>c:\mylog.log
this will redirect the screen output to a log file.

Robocopy \\samba_server\share \\windows_server\share /log:c:\yourlogfile.log

The /mir option is good for what you are trying to do...
