I am using installshield to install our software.  one of the file has some DB user/password information which i want to install and use it . but the users should not see the file.  also, making it hidden does not solve the problem as it is easy to see the hidden file.

is there way to install the file and installer should be able to use it but hide from the users. ?

The best way is to encrypt the information in that file. Trying to hide the file will prove ineffective in the long run.
