Exchange 2000: Stops after SMTP: Message Submitted to Categorizer

I have one domain that I can not send emails to.  Our email server has been up for years now working great.  But I have never been able to send emails to 'anything@tchospital.us'  They are able to send me emails but none of us can reply to them.   I looked in the message history and it says this

SMTP: Store Driver: Message sumitted from Store
SMTP:  MEssage submitted to Advanced Queuing
SMTP Started message submission to advanced Queue
SMTP: Message submitted to Categorizer
SMTP Message submitted to Advaned Queuing
SMTP: Started Message submissions to Advancved Queue
SMTP Message Submitted to Categorizer

It seems that it repeated the same thing a few times...  Please help me out.  Thank you in advance!

Hmmmmm...


Looks like the remote server is also using exchange... that too exchange 2003..

perform the steps below;

1. Disable all AV services (mention what AV you have).
2. Enable SMTP logging (default smtp virtual server / general)
3. Restart SMTP and routing engine service after first step.
4. Get in to server container properties / diagnostic logging / set all parameters for msexchange transport

Send email to tchospital.us.

Let us know what details you get..

Hey..

The above NDR tells you that either you have a DNS issue..

The delay notification indicates that the domain was found but mail delivery was delayed..

Can we try negate the possibility of DNS issue by creating an SMTP connector?

Create an SMTP connecto.
Add address space as tchospital.us.
Under general properties of SMTP connector choose smarthost insted of DNS.
Add IP of MX on record on which tchospital.us is listning on. (216.63.110.19)
Restart SMTP and routing engine service.
Send email to tchospital.us.
Verify from other end if they got the email.

This is either a DNS issue at ur end or a problem on the remote server.

Delivery status notifications in Exchange Server and in Small Business Server

Status code applies to enterprise version of exchange also.

Did we try a new message after steeting up the connector?

from the above telnet session it looks like TCHOSPITAL.US accepts email on administrator@tchospital.us...
