I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Click here to download the file:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msstdfmt

To register the dll:

1.  Click Start - Run
2.  Type in "Regsvr32 msstdfmt.dll" (without the quotes)

You should be good for go.

put it in c:\windows\sytem32.

If that doesnt work, download http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html ,
and run teh app. There is a filter button at the top, and you can use the "Highlight" to filter msstdfmt.dll, and from the results it will tell you it is not found in " " .

Here's Microsoft's input on it:
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=828550

However it could also be:
http://www.pptxtreme.com/help/effects_library/RuntimeError429ActiveXComponentCantCreateObject.html

Give these a try and tell us what happens
