read the status bar of an explorer window

hi there experts!!!!!!!!!

I have windows xp english service pack 2. i have 3 .txt files inside a folder. i open that folder and i select the 3 text files. in the status bar, i read "3 objects selected-113 bytes-My Computer". i need a function in delphi that will read and return me the contents of the status bar like above.
