But I work alone and just want the revision contrrol and Diff type tools, and will probaly be very satisfied with Source Safe for now.

I am in the midst of a multi-year project in which I still have no source code management tool. I'd used Source Safe as a contract, but feared that a mistake upon setting up the envirnonment would cost me dearly later. But now that I have my first test site running and the need to add a multi-day enhancement, I worry that have two &quot;forks&quot; in my source code will lead to other problems, not the least of which is coding the same things twice.<br />
