Can not install a network printer on one windows 2000 pc.

I have a network printer Kyocera fs-3820n and can install it on any windows 2000 pc except for one pc. i have downloaded the drivers from here
http://usa.kyoceramita.com/KMAGlobalpub/jsp/Kyocera/resource_details.jsp?rid=16379  still getting an error.
I can install any other network printer on this pc.
the error is "could not connect to the printer. you either entered a printer name that was incorrect or the speciied printer is no longer connected to the server".
When i look at the properties on the printer it is showing hp laserjet series 2. How can i get this printer installed on the computer?

Does the user have the correct permissions on the server, i.e. what are the security settings for this printer on the server, and is this user included in the groups that have at least Print permission?

Make sure that pc is up to date as far as updates is concerned:

I did mean the user's permissions for that particular printer. It is possible to set things up so that this user has no access to this printer, but is OK on all others. You need to go to the printer's properties on the server, and check the security settings there.

Unlikely perhaps, but possible, and I can't think of anything else at the moment.
