Thoughts on Netgear routers

I have this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833122016

I just bought this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833150023

Apparently the difference between the two seem signal strength and connectivity reliability.  Anyone else know for sure or have thoughts?

(Staples isn't gonna like me...this is the 3rd product I'll have to return LOL)

... in fact, now that I think back a few months, my friend bought a second set of RangeMax equipment (router and desktop adapter) to take to his 2nd home in Oregon => where he has a guest house about 50 yards from the main house;  and he gets PERFECT connectively in both houses.

However, it is true that the WRG-614 is a nice router; and IF you're getting all the connectivity you need from it, then you probably don't need the better router.

The windows wireless tool might conflict with channels?

I thought so garycase :)  I'm glad someone has personal information of use with the RangeMax.  Now my money won't be filtering back and forth to Staples a hundred times over ....refund / buy / refund / buy...LOL
There is one other benefit of the RangeMax => You'll get a lot more reliable connections even without RangeMax adapters; but if you use RangeMax adapters on your wireless adapters you can get a significant boost in the data rate as well.
I will be getting the device from newegg hopefully before Sunday, so I will post how the performance of it will be.  Thank you for your comments...any others are welcome as well :)
Did you buy just the router ... or did you get a RangeMax adapter as well ??
Got it today!  Signal has been strong as bull...LOL.  See how it goes for a couple days :)

I have had very little luck with the Netgear Rangemax line of wireless products.
I've installed 4 of them and they all had problems within the first couple of months: dropped connections, inconsistant connections (one laptop would connect and the other would not, then after power cycle, the opposite would happen).
Anyway, I hope your luck is different.
I will say that the Buffalo Tech line of wireless devices have worked remarkably well for me... and they cost less.
If anyone is still subscribed here, Just updating ya'll that the Netgear rangemaxx is superb!  Thanks AnnieMod!
I believe I said that :-)  :-)

... actually I said "... It's simply amazing :-) "

amazingly superb!  haha
Glad it's working so well for you [since I recommended it :-) ]
