SQL Server 2005 - reindex

Is it true that I need to reindex SQL2005 database frequently (eg daily), depending on how frequently the database is being access, database size and modification?
( no working experience for SQL2005 )
For Foxpro, I normally don't reindex my database so often, but pack maybe, to reduce the size.

Please advise on SQL2005 database maintenance, regarding to speed factor.
Or any website that provide useful information.
Thank you
