Dell M65 Laptop hanging on startup - possible battery issue

Hi - I have a 1 month old Dell M65 laptop that for some reason recently started acting funny on startup - Doesnt seem to be a pattern as to what it could be. Every 4th or 5th boot up, it seems to hang on the Windows XP splash screen, and go nowhere. Then I figured out that if I shut down, remove the battery and replace it, it will then start up fine - It just seems like if it was a battery issue, it wouldnt have anything to do with Windows or the boot process. Also, whenever I'm starting up, its ALWAYS plugged in, its not even on battery power (the battery is also NOT a part of the Dell recall) - Help!

I agree - Another thing I forgot to mention is, I can get into safe mode any time, and that is fine which kinda leads me away from the flaky hard drive theory -

PCBONEZ is right, of course... Disabling this monitoring software should provide a difference in behaviour.
